The Mount Gravatt Lookout is a popular tourist destination located in the city of Brisbane, Australia. It sits atop Mount Gravatt, which is approximately 196 meters high, and offers visitors breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding city and countryside.

To reach the lookout, take on the challenging hike up the mountain or simply drive up to the parking area located at the summit. From there, enjoy the scenic views while taking in the fresh air and peaceful surroundings.

The lookout is known for its incredible views, which stretch out over the city skyline and all the way to Moreton Bay. On clear days, you can see for miles, taking in the beauty of the surrounding countryside, including the lush greenery of Toohey Forest, which is located just to the south of the mountain.

In addition to the stunning views, the Mount Gravatt Lookout also features a café where visitors can relax and enjoy a snack or a cup of coffee. The café offers indoor and outdoor seating, allowing visitors to soak up the views while enjoying a meal or a drink.

The Mount Gravatt Lookout offers a range of amenities to ensure an enjoyable time on the mountain. One of the most important amenities for any outdoor adventure is access to clean and well-maintained toilets. Luckily, the lookout features a public restroom located near the summit, which is easily accessible.

In addition to toilets, the Mount Gravatt Lookout also features a number of picnic tables scattered throughout the area. These tables are perfect for visitors looking to take a break and enjoy a meal or a snack while taking in the stunning views from the top of the mountain. The tables are situated in areas that offer plenty of shade, making them the perfect spot to relax and recharge before continuing on with your adventure.

The walking track to the Mount Gravatt Lookout is a challenging yet rewarding trail that offers visitors the chance to experience the beauty of nature up close. The track is well-maintained and well-marked, making it easy for visitors to navigate and enjoy their journey to the summit.

The trail is approximately 1.2 kilometers long and can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour to complete, depending on your fitness level and pace. Along the way, visitors will encounter an array of flora and fauna, including various bird species and native plant life.

The trail itself is quite steep in places, and visitors will need to be prepared for some strenuous uphill sections. However, the path is also dotted with benches and rest areas, providing the perfect opportunity to take a break and catch your breath while enjoying the stunning scenery around you.

While hiking the walking track to the Mount Gravatt Lookout, hikers will encounter several bridges that add an extra element of charm and adventure to the journey. These bridges are not only functional but also beautiful, providing an opportunity to pause and appreciate the natural surroundings.

The bridges are located at various points along the trail and allow hikers to cross over creeks and gullies that run through the area. They are well-constructed and provide a safe and sturdy passage for hikers of all ages and abilities.

One of the highlights of the walking track is the lookout points that are scattered along the trail. These points offer stunning views of the surrounding landscape and provide the perfect opportunity to take in the beauty of the area and snap some memorable photos.

I was lucky enough to spot one of Australia's most iconic animals: the koala bear. These adorable marsupials are native to Australia and are known for their cute and cuddly appearance.

Koalas are known to inhabit the trees and forests around Mount Gravatt, so keep an eye out for them as you hike along the walking track or enjoy the views from the lookout. You may be able to spot them sleeping or munching on eucalyptus leaves high up in the trees.
