Twin Falls Carpark
Where Your Journey Begins

The circuit takes you through the Gondwana Rainforests, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and offers stunning views of the park's waterfalls and wildlife. The Twin Falls Circuit is a moderately challenging trail that takes visitors through a diverse range of landscapes, including rainforest, open eucalyptus forest, and rock pools. It is also a popular among nature enthusiasts.

The hike began early in the morning( as I always prefer for all my hiking adventures ). The first part of the trail is relatively easy and flat, winding its way through the lush,  dense rainforest and providing ample opportunities for hikers to take in the stunning natural beauty and a variety of stunning landscapes.

Along the way, informative signs provide insights into the unique flora and fauna of the area, making it a great learning experience for visitors of all ages.

As you continue on the trail, you will begin to encounter a series of creek crossings and narrow paths that add an extra element of adventure and excitement to the experience.

The scenery becomes even more impressive as you approach the waterfalls. The first waterfall on the trail is Twin Falls, which is a magnificent sight to behold. The sheer size and power of the falls, along with the surrounding cliffs and boulders, create a truly awe-inspiring vista. The water cascaded down the cliff face in a series of drops, creating a mist that cooled my face. I took my time here, savouring the moment and soaking in the magic of the scene.  The natural beauty of the falls is amazing.

As I continued on the trail, I felt completely immersed in the rainforest, surrounded by the lush greenery, towering trees, and a cacophony of wildlife sounds.

The trail was well-maintained and easy to follow, with signs along the way that will not get you lost and surely make your hiking experience even more enjoyable.

Springbrook provides access to several walking trails that lead to various parts of the national park.

The next waterfall on the trail is Rainbow Falls, and it is nestled in a serene setting surrounded by lush vegetation. The rainbow effect created by the mist adds an extra layer of beauty to the already enchanting surroundings.

There are several lookout points along the way, offering visitors the chance to rest and take in the stunning views one of which is Canyon Lookout,  a popular tourist destination. This lookout provides a stunning panoramic view of the Gold Coast and the surrounding hinterland.
